With 20 years of experience in R&D, innovation and production, Dr. Felix Abt currently holds an executive position as Director Innovation at Orell Füssli Ltd. Security Printing. He earned his Ph.D. in laser material processing from the University of Stuttgart. From 2006 to 2007, he worked as a research associate in laser macro material processing at Technologiegesellschaft für Strahlwerkzeuge mbH in Stuttgart, Germany. Between 2007 and 2013, he served as a senior scientist specializing in laser process diagnostics and closed-loop control at the IFSW Institut für Strahlwerkzeuge in Stuttgart. Since 2013 he works for Orell Fuessli Security Printing in Zürich, Switzerland in different leading positions. Since 2025 his position is Director Innovation and member of the management team.
