Founded in 864, Monnaie de Paris has a triple mission: regalian, commercial and cultural. As a public industrial and commercial establishment since 2017, Monnaie de Paris produces euro coins for the French State.

Building on its historical expertise, Monnaie de Paris also produces and markets foreign circulating coins, gold and silver collector’s coins, art objects, medals and decorations for foreign countries, companies and institutions.

The institution maintains the architectural heritage of the Hôtel de la Monnaie, in the center of Paris and manages the museum, which presents exhibitions and events associated to the institution’s creative work and expertise.
