Sencia Kaizemi Rukata

Sencia Kaizemi Rukata is the Director of Currency Management and Banking Operations at the Bank of Namibia, with 27 years of experience across corporate, commercial, and central banking.

She leads national currency issuance and integrity, oversees government banking services, and guides the Bank’s corporate security framework. Her expertise spans currency management, payment systems, governance, and strategic leadership, with a strong focus on innovation and digital finance.

Beyond the central bank, she serves as Chairperson of Epangelo Mining Company and as a Board Director of SASAI Econet Financial Services in Lesotho. She plays a key regional role in advancing fintech, cross border collaboration, and modernized payment systems across Southern Africa.
