Rick Soedamah

Rick Soedamah is a seasoned banking and business executive with over two decades of experience in the financial sector, property finance, and commercial leadership. He currently serves as Director of Payments at the Central Bank of Suriname (CBvS), where he plays a key role in overseeing and advancing the national payments system.

Prior to his appointment at the Central Bank, Rick held several senior leadership positions in the private sector, where he was responsible for driving commercial strategy, business growth, and organisational performance.

Rick holds a Master’s degree in Management and Finance from the Maastricht School of Management (MSM). He is known as a results-driven leader with strong communication skills and a proven track record in strategic planning, business development, and organisational leadership. He is passionate about sustainable growth, innovation in financial services, and creating long-term value.

Beyond his professional career, Rick is actively involved in community and leadership organisations, including Rotary, Junior Chamber International (JCI), and Art of Living (AOL), reflecting his strong commitment to societal development and responsible leadership.
