John Orchard

John Orchard is Chairman of the Digital Monetary Institute (DMI), part of the Official Monetary and Financial Institutions Forum (OMFIF), the central banking and public investment think tank which he led as CEO between January 2020 and December 2024. Previously, John was a member of Euromoney’s management board where he oversaw the eponymous banking publication, as well as the markets news and data service, GlobalCapital, and the securitisation convening network, IMN. John joined the global information business in 1994 as a graduate trainee, having read German language and European History. The DMI, which John helped found, convenes key leaders in the public and private sectors to chart and inform the evolution of digital money formats and their interaction with tokenised finance as a whole.
