
Jermaine Campbell

Mr H. Jermaine Campbell is a 30-year veteran of the Central Bank of The Bahamas and currently serves as Manager, Currency Department, with responsibility for currency operations and financial market infrastructures. Prior to his appointment, Mr Campbell served as Deputy Manager, Banking Department, with direct oversight of key operations within the Bank’s currency, markets, payments, and foreign reserve management units.
Mr Campbell holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and an MBA with a concentration in Management from West Texas A&M University, Canyon, Texas, USA. During his tenure with the Bank, he has completed a series of courses and training programmes at Cornell University and other institutions, covering payments, reserve management, SWIFT, currency, and bonds.
In his current role, Mr Campbell is responsible for advancing the Central Bank’s digital currency platform, the ongoing modernisation and development of the country’s payments infrastructure, currency management and oversight, and the overall strengthening of financial market infrastructures.
