David Pillard

David Pillard, a Swiss national, holds a degree in Graphic Design and Visual Communication of the Lausanne School of Arts and Communication, Switzerland and a certificate of Chinese Studies from Tsinghua University in Beijing. His international working experience has brought him expertise in the fields of product design, packaging and advertising.

Mr Pillard joined the Design & Features Integration team of SICPA SA in 2011, with a focus on banknote projects, providing support to designers for optimal functionalities of SICPA security features and solutions, notably in the domain of machine readability and public features.

Since 2016, Mr Pillard has taken the leadership of the team, ensuring professional relationships with all industry stakeholders to address the high-level requirements of banknote conception.

In a number of innovative projects, SICPA’s Design & Features Integration team has been working closely from the start to support designer and security printer throughout the banknote creation process.
